National Assembly, Balatonszemes 2024

As we concluded our joint and final National Assembly for this academic year at Balatonszemes, we expressed our gratitude to the outgoing National Board for their dedicated efforts and warmly welcomed the incoming board, along with their fresh ideas for their upcoming mandate.

The outgoing board provided updates on their action plan, highlighting the progress achieved during their term between the last two NAs. We’ve organized a panel discussion focused on student mobility, emphasizing the significance of maintaining Erasmus+ opportunities, followed by a roundtable discussion joined by two young MEP candidates and JEF Hungary’s
President, emphasizing the importance of protecting and promoting student mobility programs as part of the EGiA Project’s National Dialogue Policy.

After these sessions, we moved on to the SSO changes we wished to make and listened to our Treasurer Candidate, Péter Granc. Later on, we heard a panel discussion on other organisations introducing themselves and their work to a broader audience. DAAD Hungary, the National Youth Council, and AIESEC Hungary had an insightful panel on how to work hand in hand for better student representation.

Our last day has started with updates from the previous
National Coordinators before the newly appointed Coordinators introduced themselves and their plans for the upcoming year.

Additionally members from our NO, shared their experiences from several international ESN events. The sessions were followed by workshops on CV building and preventing burnout.

We also elected our National Treasurer and approved the new action plan. The day concluded with open space discussions on SSO Review and AC reports, and a “Meet Your Colleague” session, bringing the National Assembly to a close.
